The Life of Fitness Model Lauren Dascalo

This week's interview is with LA-based fitness model Lauren Dascalo.

Lauren has always been a gym freak. Ever since she was a little girl she has been very athletic. She played soccer, was a dancer, cheerleader, and runner. Working out is a big part of her life, it makes her feel confident strong and sexy.

Lauren has a very clean diet. She stays away from dairy, processed/fried foods and sugar. A typical day in the life of Lauren consists of:

  • Breakfast: A protein shake that contains 20-30g of protein.

  • AM Snack: 1/2 cup of quinoa, 1/4 avocado, 2oz chicken breast, and 1 cup of broccoli. 1 TBS Coconut aminos.

  • Lunch: 1/2 cup of quinoa, 1/4 avocado, 1/2 can of tuna, and 1 cup of broccoli. 1 TBS Coconut aminos.

  • Pm snack: 1 red bell pepper (raw), 1/2 can of tuna. Mini perfect almond butter bar.

  • Dinner: 4oz chicken, 1 cup asparagus, 1/2 cup quinoa. 1 TBS Coconut aminos.

When it comes to confidence, Lauren says that everybody has their own insecurities. According to her, the best way to deal with them is by learning and accepting herself for the way she is and knowing that the specific areas that she is insecure about make her unique.

Her favorite way to unwind and relax is to go to the beach, and lay out. She also enjoys staying at home and watching a movie in bed, going out to a nice dinner, and spending time with family and friends.
